Typography is a design within the font of the text. Typography is important because it can evoke emotion and create a consistent brand identity. Text that looks well together contains a serif and sans serif font. Serif fonts have small lines attached at the end of the stroke like Times New Roman. Serif fonts do not have the extra little line at the end of the strokes like Calibri.
The “Type Connection” game allows you to explore different fonts and find another font that pairs well with it or “falls in love” with it. For example, Open Sans and Lora, and Roboto Slab and Roboto would fall in love in the game meaning they are a perfect match and go well with it.
In the game “Type War” you have a letter presented from a certain font and you have to pick between 2 fonts the correct answer. This game was really hard for me since I don’t really know what different font's names are.
In the game “Kern Type”, you were presented a word in a different font each round and you had to space the letters out correctly with how it would be when the font is used. This was also hard for me because I am not familiar with a lot of fonts.
